Sally Lou Kinney, 68 of Akron, IA, passed away on Sunday, December 15, 2024 at her home with family and friends by her side.

Memorial Service will be 1:00 p.m., Monday, December 23, 2024 at Rexwinkel Funeral Home in Akron, Iowa. Visitation with the family present will begin at noon on Monday at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may be expressed to the family through www.rexwinkelfh.com.

Sally was born on August 10, 1956, in Lake City, IA, where she spent her childhood. Sally lived an adventurous life traveling much of the southern United States before coming back home to Iowa in the early 90s. She was quick to make friends at her homes in Le Mars and then Akron, many of whom helped her through her daughter's cancer diagnosis and then her own health troubles. Sally took pride in keeping her home immaculate and was known for her devotion to her feline friends.

She is survived by her sons: Travous and Levi (Becky); and granddaughter, Naomi; her cat Gabby; sisters: Cindy and Annette; and brother, Dan.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Gina Kinney and sister, Sue.
