Sandra Hacker , 49, of Sioux City, Iowa, passed away Monday, March 2, 2020 at MercyOne in Sioux City.

Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 7, 2020 at Cornerstone World Outreach, 1625 Glen Ellen Road, Sioux City. Pastor Larry Gordon will officiate. Burial will follow in Logan Park Cemetery in Sioux City. Visitation with the family present will be from 9:00 a.m. until service time on Saturday at the church. Sandra Kay Van Hill was born November 29, 1970 in Orange City, Iowa, the daughter of John and Mary (Zomermaand) Van Hill. She attended school in Orange City and graduated from Unity Christian High School in 1989. She attended Northwest Iowa Community College in Sheldon, Iowa where she received her associate degree in business.

She began working for Med Tech in Orange City before going to work for the Woodbury County Clerk of Courts office in Sioux City.

She was united in marriage to Gene Hacker on September 20, 2003 in Sioux City.

Sandra continued to work for the Clerk of Courts office until 2006, when she became a stay at home mom for her family.

Sandra was a member of Cornerstone World Outreach in Sioux City. She enjoyed photography, being outdoors, and taking trips to the ocean. Most of all, she loved being a home school mom and grandma to her two grandsons, Mason and Owen.

Survivors include her husband, Gene Hacker of Sioux City, IA; her children: Hailey (Tyler) Palmer of Sioux City, and their sons, Mason and Owen, Autumn Hacker of Sioux City, Anna Hacker of Sioux City, and Caleb Hacker of Sioux City; her parents: John and Mary Van Hill of Le Mars, IA; 3 sisters: Melissa (Larry) Netten of Orange City, IA, Paula (Ted Sr) Madsen of Le Mars, IA, and Susan Van Hill of Des Moines, IA; her father and mother in law: Gary and Alice Hacker of Sioux City; a brother in law: Chris (Tina) Hacker of Minneapolis, MN; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents: Albert and Henrietta Van Hill; and maternal grandparents: Garrett and Johanna Zomermaand.
