Sharon L. Reardon, 83, of Le Mars, Iowa, passed away Friday, June 16, 2023, at the Good Samaritan Society of Le Mars.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 20, 2023, at All Saints Catholic Parish – St. Joseph Church in Le Mars.  Father Bruce Lawler will celebrate Mass.  Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Le Mars.  Visitation with the family present will be from 9:00 a.m. until service time on Tuesday at the church.  Arrangements are with the Rexwinkel Funeral Home in Le Mars.  Expressions of sympathy can be extended to the family through www.rexwinkelfh.com.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in Sharon's name to Care Initiatives Hospice – Sioux City, in care of the family.

Sharon Lee Herman, the daughter of Bernard and Frances (Remkus) Herman, was born on April 22, 1940, in Albert Lea, Minnesota.  She attended school and graduated from Albert Lea High School in 1958.  Following high school, she worked at a pharmacy in Albert Lea.

Sharon met Jerry Reardon in February of 1960.  They were united in marriage on October 1, 1960, in Albert Lea.  A son, Randy, was born in 1962 and a daughter, Jo Ann, in 1963.

Sharon and partner owned and operated Norlee's Children's Clothing store in Albert Lea for 5 years.  When Jerry became head cattle buyer for Blue Ribbon Beef in Le Mars, they sold the store and moved to Le Mars in 1966.  When they moved to Le Mars, Sharon took on the job of raising their children.

Sharon was a member of All Saints Catholic Parish in Le Mars and was active in Catholic Daughters for many years.  She would host many monthly meetings for the group.  She was active in many local community projects with other ladies from Le Mars.  She received the Le Mars Community Enhancement Award for her contributions to the community.  She also received the Outstanding Community Volunteer Award for her work on many projects for the community.  She delivered "Meals on Wheels" for many years and made "tray favors" for Floyd Valley Hospital. She was very artistic and did many paintings over the years.  She and Jerry enjoyed spending time at Lake Okoboji where Sharon referred to their home as the home "On Golden Pond".  She also loved her faithful cat, "Pepper".

Survivors include her husband of over 62 years, Jerry of Le Mars; a son, Randy Reardon of Le Mars; a daughter, JoAnn (Kyle) Black of Phoenix, AZ; 4 grandchildren: Lindsey (Chris) Kovarna of Hinton, IA, Jarred (Justina) Reardon of Gilbert, AZ, Jacey Reardon (Michael Bybee) of Le Mars, IA, and Logan (Corinne) Black of Phoenix, AZ; 7 great grandchildren; her brother, John (Eleanore) Herman of Rochester, NY; a sister in law, Nancy Reardon of Reedsburg, WI; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Jackie (Roger) Jacobson; and a brother-in-law, Richard Reardon.
