Stephany Becker , 30, of Hinton, Iowa, passed away Monday, September 26, 2022, at Hospice of the Valley Friendship Village in Tempe, Arizona surrounded by family following a courageous battle with cancer.

Memorial Service will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday, October 6, 2022, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Le Mars.  Reverend Christian Meier will officiate.  Private family interment will be at Floyd Valley Cemetery – Melbourne, rural Merrill, Iowa.  A Celebration of Life will begin at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 6, 2022, at Willow Creek Golf Course in Le Mars with a time of Memory Sharing at 7:00 p.m.  Arrangements are with the Rexwinkel Funeral Home in Le Mars, Iowa.  Expressions of sympathy can be extended to the family through www.rexwinkelfh.com .

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be to Stephany's family for her children's education fund.

Stephany Lynn TenNapel, the daughter of Dave and Amy (Grage) TenNapel, was born February 28, 1992 in Hawarden, Iowa.  She was baptized and confirmed at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Struble, Iowa.  She attended school in Le Mars and graduated from Le Mars Community High School in 2010.  She attended Hawkeye Community College in Waterloo for one year before transferring to the University of South Dakota in Vermillion.  She graduated from U.S.D. in 2014 with her bachelor's degree in education.  Following college, she began teaching at Franklin Elementary School in Le Mars.

She was united in marriage to David Becker on June 28, 2014 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Le Mars.  They lived in Sioux City for 2 years before moving to their current home on the Becker Family farm, in Hinton.

Stephany continued teaching at Franklin Elementary.  During that time, Stephany furthered her education at Morningside College in Sioux City and received her master's degree in education in 2018.  In the fall of 2021, Stephany began teaching at Siouxland Christian School in Sioux City.  In the Spring of 2022, she accepted an offer from Westwood Community School to serve as a curriculum coach starting in the fall of 2022.  She was excited for this opportunity and was looking forward to serving the students of Westwood, but was diagnosed with cancer in June of 2022. One of her true loves of this life was teaching young students.

Stephany was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Le Mars.  She was an active member of 4-H for many years and continued to serve the 4-H community whenever she could.  She enjoyed working summers at the Willow Creek Golf Course and for the Iowa State Extension office in Le Mars.  Stephany loved the time spent with her family and friends.  She enjoyed planning many get togethers and trips.  Although her life on earth was short, it was successful and rewarding.  She truly enjoyed working with her students and going the extra mile to help them succeed.

Survivors include her husband, David Becker of Hinton; their children, Jackson, Levi, and Simon, all at home; her parents: Dave and Amy TenNapel of Le Mars, IA; her father and mother in law: Doug and Peg Becker of Hinton, IA; her siblings: Kayla TenNapel of Altoona, IA, Derek (Leah) TenNapel of Kingsley, IA, Morgan TenNapel of Le Mars, IA, and sister in law Alexis of Mitchell, SD; her maternal grandparents: Gary and Rosie Grage of Le Mars, IA; her paternal grandparents: Dennis and Diane TenNapel of Ireton, IA; grandparents in law: Gene and Grace Becker of Sioux City, IA and Annette Hedge of Lake Benton, MN; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her aunt, Gwen Grage; and her maternal grandfather in law, Sam Hedge.
