Steve Flynn, 69 of Le Mars, Iowa and formerly of Pierre, South Dakota, passed away on Monday, March 16, 2026 at Floyd Valley Healthcare in Le Mars.

Steven Michael Flynn was born on June 7, 1956 in Seattle, Washington, the oldest of five children to Donald and Bonnie (Randall) Flynn. Their family moved to a farm in Scranton, North Dakota where Steve grew up. He attended and graduated from high school in Scranton.

Steve joined the workforce right out of high school. In 1985, a position with Iseman Mobile Homes would take him to Pierre, South Dakota where he would reside & raise his family. In 2005, after years of searching for the right opportunity to own his own business, Steve & his brother Darrell purchased West River Industries. As an owner, he traveled South Dakota, North Dakota & Montana doing the work he most enjoyed & doing it for himself. In 2014, he retired to Lake Havasu, AZ where he & Deb enjoyed being on the lake, going camping, and avoiding the Midwest winters. He did not find retirement as enjoyable as working & after a couple of years returned to work for Iseman's in Le Mars, Iowa. After the Le Mars location closed, Steve began dividing his time between his home in Le Mars & Iseman's in Pierre. Steve thoroughly enjoyed his career, he was an excellent salesman & never met a stranger.

Steve enjoyed golfing, fishing and boating. He liked playing games on his kindle, especially cribbage. He was an avid Minnesota Vikings fan and also cheered on the Seattle Seahawks and Denver Broncos.

Steve is survived by his significant other, Deborah Wells; daughter, Samantha 'Sam' (Andrew) Reif; son, Alexander 'Alex' (Christy) Flynn; grandchildren: Adelyn Reif, Mason Reif, Mara Schultz, and Kaylie Schultz; siblings: Darrell (Karen) Flynn, Donna (Roger) Urbanec, and Tom (Terrie) Flynn; his beloved dog, Lacey; and other extended relatives.

Steve is preceded in death by his father, Don (Edna) Flynn; mother, Bonnie (Larry) Rowley; and brother, Duane Flynn.
