Steven H. Sherrill, 75 of Le Mars peacefully passed away at his home on March 4, 2025.

Celebration of Life Service will be at 5:00 p.m. on Monday, March 17, 2025, at Rexwinkel Funeral Home in Le Mars.  Pastor Cary Gordon from Cornerstone World Outreach in Sioux City, Iowa, will officiate.  Visitation with the family present will be from 4:00 p.m. until service on Monday and following the service during a time of fellowship, all at the funeral home.  Arrangements are with the Rexwinkel Funeral Home in Le Mars.  Expressions of sympathy can be extended to the family through www.rexwinkelfh.com.

Steve was born on September 17, 1949, in Cherokee, Iowa. He was the son of Walter Jr. and Wanda Sherrill. He graduated from George High School in 1967. Following his graduation, he attended Estherville Junior College for one year before transferring to Westmar College in Le Mars, where he graduated in 1971.

On June 26, 1971, he married Melody Harms in George, Iowa. The couple resided in Le Mars until his passing. Steve co-owned Sherrill Construction with his father until 2003. He later owned and operated Rental, Sales and Service until his retirement in 2018.

Steve enjoyed golfing, fishing, hunting, playing cards, and cornhole. His greatest joy was attending his grandchildren's sporting events and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Melody, of Le Mars; daughters Stefanie (Curt) Reinschmidt of Brandon, SD, and Nicole (Ty) Talton of Plainfield, IL. He is also survived by a sister, Angie Sherrill of Remsen, IA; a brother-in-law, Rick (Jackie) Harms of Sioux Falls, SD; a sister-in-law, Cyndy (Kim) Bobeldyk of Brookings, SD; and five grandchildren, Alyssa, Justin, and Molly Reinschmidt, and Tavian and Mya Talton. Steve was preceded in death by his parents and his parents in-law, LeRoy and Mildred Harms.

While Steve's absence has left an irreplaceable void in our hearts, we find solace in the belief that we will be reunited with him someday.
