Terry Port , 52, of Le Mars, Iowa, passed away Saturday, April 23, 2022 at Unity Point Health – St. Luke's Hospital in Sioux City, Iowa.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, April 28, 2022 at Rexwinkel Funeral Home in Le Mars. Reverend Chris Meier from St. John's Lutheran Church in Le Mars will officiate. Burial will follow in Elgin Township Cemetery near Seney, Iowa. Visitation with the family present will be from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 27, 2022 at Rexwinkel Funeral Home in Le Mars. There will be a Prayer Service at 5:00 p.m. Visitation will resume from 9:30 a.m. until service time on Thursday at the funeral home. Terry Lee Port was born September 8, 1969 in Le Mars, Iowa, the son of Archie Sr. and Kathleen (Rieken) Port. He was baptized at St. John's Lutheran Church in Le Mars and attended school at Le Mars Community.

Following high school, he began working as a cook for the Pantry Café in Le Mars and later for the Le Mars Eagle's Club, Family Table Restaurant, and the Le Mars Truck Stop. He then began working in construction. He did this until becoming disabled because of a construction accident.

Terry loved to collect "things."  He also had a green thumb. He enjoyed growing plants and flowers. He also enjoyed fishing. He was also very artistic and loved to paint and draw pictures. Terry's greatest passion was cooking. His lifelong dream was to have a hot dog stand in New York City.

Survivors include his daughter, Jenna Harpenau of Remsen, Iowa, and her children, Braxton and Jace; his stepfather, Jim Burnett of Seney, Iowa; his sister, Kimberly (Scott) Snyder of Alton, IA; his stepbrother, Russel "Rusty" (Theresa) Burnett of Le Mars; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Archie Port Jr; stepbrother, James Burnett Jr; grandparents: Alva and Velma Port and William and Viola Rieken; and a nephew, Zachery Port.
