Obituary

It is with saddened hearts that the family of Vernon Leon Snell Sr. announces his passing at the age of 79. Vernon, of Le Mars, passed away on November 20, 2019. Born on July 25, 1940, he was the only child of Francis and Mary (Hofen) Snell.

He is preceded in death by first wife, Peggy Arnold, and second wife Karen Messer.
He was the beloved father of Vernon Snell Jr. (spouse Darlene), Terry Snell (spouse Dora), Kimberly Snell (spouse Donnie), Derrick Snell (spouse Tina) and stepfather to Johnny Hill, Orville Hill, Darlene Hill, and Dora Hill. He was cherished by his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren and will be greatly missed by his dear friends.
A memorial service will be held in his hometown of Newark, MO on July 25, 2020 .  Local arrangements are with the Rexwinkel Funeral Home in Le Mars.  Expressions of sympathy can be extended to the family through www.rexwinkelfh.com
