Victor Fernandes, 54 of Le Mars, Iowa, passed away unexpectedly at his home on May 13, 2026.

Victor Norberto Fernandes was born on January 24, 1972 in Lowell, Massachusetts to Norbert Fernandes and Leontine (Texiera) Coutinho. He was raised in the Catholic faith; he attended school in Lowell where he wrestled in both middle and high school. During his younger years, Victor also taught himself to play the guitar. He loved music, especially rock 'n roll. He became very talented at playing guitar, even creating a band that played in a neighbor's basement. He continued playing guitar throughout his life and often played songs by Brian Adams or White Lion.
After graduating high school, Victor began working full time at Roche Brothers Manufacturing. Victor's work history included a variety of manufacturing companies, most recently he was working at DK Plastics in Archer, Iowa. Victor was a loyal employee with a strong work ethic. He always had an interest in being an entrepreneur and working towards a better future.
Victor met Judyth Solis while he was working in Storm Lake, Iowa, in 2007. They quickly became inseparable and recently moved to Le Mars in 2019.
Victor has a big smile and a bold, passionate personality. He had strong opinions he wasn't afraid to share and lots of jokes to tell. He wasn't one to sit idle; he was always looking for a project. He enjoyed keeping busy, whether tinkering with a vehicle, doing some yardwork, or helping someone in need.
He loved his family tremendously and missed being near his siblings in Massachusetts. His grandchildren were so important to him, and he loved doting on them.
Victor is survived by the love of his life, Judy; daughter, Cheyenne (Elijah) Solis-Triana and grandchildren: Elia Triana and Makaio Triana; twin daughters: Merissa Fernandes and Brittny Fernandes and grandchildren: Bailey and Boston; mother, Leontina (Antonio) Coutinho; siblings: Sario (Anna Travassos) Fernandes, Maria (Donald Maker) Fernandes, Goretti (Orlando) Furtado, Luisa Fernandes, Louise Fernandes, Angie Brum, and Michael Brum; and many nieces, nephews, and other extended relatives.
Victor is preceded in death by his father, Norberto Fernandes; and three siblings: Big Louie Brum, Mannie Brum, and Maria Brum.
