Viola Orban, 106, of Le Mars, passed away on Saturday, November 26, 2022 at Floyd Valley Healthcare in Le Mars, Iowa.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m., Friday, December 2, 2022 at All Saints Catholic Parish – St. Joseph Church in Le Mars, Iowa. Father Bruce Lawler will celebrate Mass.  Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Le Mars. Visitation with the family present will be from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 1, 2022 at Rexwinkel Funeral Home in Le Mars.  There will a Rosary at 5:00 p.m. and a Scriptural Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m.  Visitation will resume from 9:30 a.m. until service time on Friday at the church.  Arrangements are with the Rexwinkel Funeral Home in Le Mars, Iowa.  Expressions of sympathy may be expressed to the family through www.rexwinkelfh.com .

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.

Viola Mary Feller was born on August 27, 1916 on her family farm near Oyens, Iowa to Mathias and Anna (Schroeder) Feller, She attended school at St. Catherine's in Oyens. Viola was united in marriage to Frank Orban at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Le Mars, Iowa on June 28, 1938. They made their home on the farm in rural Le Mars, Iowa where they raised five sons: Keith, Eugene, Larry, Armand, and Kenny.

While living on the farm, Frank and Viola attended St. Joseph Catholic Church – Ellendale for many years. They later moved into Le Mars and became members of St. James Catholic Church in Le Mars. She was a member of Christian Mother's Society and the Altar Society. Viola was a devout Catholic and her faith was such an important part of her life. She also enjoyed baking, canning, quilting, and being a mother.

Viola is survived by her five sons: Keith (Marge) Orban, Eugene (Carole) Orban, Larry (Marge) Orban, Armand (Julie) Orban, and Kenny (Susan) Orban; thirteen grandchildren: Sheila (Tom) Gose, Lisa Orban, Rick (Mary) Orban, Karen (Bill) Fischer, Sondra (Jerry) Singer, Teresa (Rick) Gries, Marsha (Dave) Kuecker, Tony (Jennifer) Orban, Scott (Kari) Orban, Brian Orban, Eric Orban, Adam (Jill) Orban, and Joel Orban; 21 great grandchildren; numerous great great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and other extended relatives.

Viola is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Frank; infant grandson, Mathias Keith Orban; and siblings:  John (Justine) Feller, Barbara Feller, Helen (Ben) Freking, Bernice (Clarence) Cwach, Esther (Kenny) Utesch, and Cecilia (Ray) Plendl.
